DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN AUTOMATED HOSTEL ALLOCATION SYSTEM

Abstract

This research work is focused on computerized of data base on hostel allocation which provides unto data information for the effective manual control of operation by the Student’s Affairs Division, University of Uyo. It intends to help in decision making based on facts rather than assumptions for the processing of student’s data which were done manually. According to the investigation carried out, the receipt numbers of hostel fees of the students were entered manually and a clearance form as well as hostel and room numbers were assigned to the students, and the research is presently carried out to be a computerized method. It also includes the programming used for the purpose of this work, visual basic programming language is used and  this is based on some obvious advantages visual basic has over other programming language is used and this is based on some obvious advantages visual basic has over other programming language.
